Learning to use digital radiography in Detroit, MI will allow you to develop expertise as an industrial radiographer, and will equip you to implement digital technologies into your inspection program. Digital radiography (DR) is a specialized imaging process used in the field of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) in Detroit, MI and worldwide. Instead of using film, digital radiography uses Digital Detector Arrays (DDA) that immediately record data during examination. This information is directly transferred to a computer system and can be seen simultaneously by multiple technicians.

Carestream NDT and the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing (AINDT) now offer the “Advanced Industrial Radiographic Training Academy” to provide training in digital radiography in Detroit, MI. Our online and in-person courses equip companies with the education required to transition smoothly from film radiography to a digital radiography platform. This program provides specialized digital radiography training to meet the needs of industrial radiographers.

Digital Radiography In Detroit, MI and Operations

Digital radiography in Detroit, MI operates using flat panel detectors, commonly known as Digital Detector Arrays (DDA). These flat detectors complete a direct or indirect conversion process to transform X-ray or gamma ray radiation to an electronic signal. The electric charge is then interpreted by thin, transistor sensors into digital information.

While the initial costs for direct digital radiography technology is expensive, the images produced have an excellent resolution and the seamless process leads to greater efficiency and cost savings. Recorded images can be immediately viewed, modified, deleted or shared with colleagues.

Applications of digital radiography in Detroit, MI include:

  • Aerospace device inspection
  • Identification of Corrosion Under Insulation in the petroleum and electricity industries
  • Welding and casting inspection
  • Detection of flow accelerated corrosion
  • Composite and fiber component inspection
  • Identification of foreign objects

We offer the most convenient and affordable digital radiography training available.

Testimonial:

Enhancing Digital Radiography Techniques Through Learning

“The doubts and questions that I had prior to and during the course were extensively and quickly resolved by the Carestream staff,” he said. “I was surprised by how quickly they responded, it’s like an advisor permanently online.”

When restrictions and mandates from the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Jose Caprarulo had to reinvent himself at work – he needed to deepen his knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT). He searched the internet intensely but did not find anything serious until he found The Advanced Industrial Radiographic Training Academy, from Carestream NDT and the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing (AINDT).
