This is a 40-hour course on Industrial Radiography and is designed to meet the training requirements for formal certification in Radiation Safety for both X-ray and gamma Radiographers. It also discusses the requirements of the Department of Transportation and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and outlines the “Suggested State Regulations for Controlling Radiation (SSRCR).” This 40-hour course exceeds the recommendations and training outline set forth by the NRC training manual available as NUREG/BR-0024 Working Safely in Gamma Radiography and its subsequent ASNT revisions and This course addresses required training topics for radiographic personnel specified in federal (10 CFR 34.43) and equivalent state radiation control regulations, as well as the topics listed in Appendix A to ASNT CP-105-2016 (excluding neutron radiography).

Radiation Safety 8 Hour Annual Refresher Training $99

Donald R Booth

Donald Booth is the CEO/Founder of the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing.

He began his NDT career in 2006 after attending Ridgewater College for Nondestructive Testing. After achieving level II certifications in 5 methods, he moved on to API 570 and 653 certifications, and currently holds four ASNT Level III certifications.

His career started on the North Slope of Alaska where he first worked as an NDT assistant. As time went by, he attained level II certifications in five NDT methods, worked in “BP Special Projects” department, and as an API 653 inspector.

One of the most enjoyable parts of his career was instructing assistants during their “On the Job Training”.

He founded the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing in Early 2013 with a vision of offering both online NDT training, as well as hands-on training in a fully equipped NDT training facility, creating the first ‘Hybrid” NDT training facility in the world.

Fast forward to the present and the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing has provided training for over 100 corporations and various government entities as well as, purchased a new facility to expand its operations while continuing to listen to their customers to provide that highest level of NDT training available.

Thomas Stokke

Thomas Stokke is the Quality Assurance Manager at the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing.

Tom’s impressive career in the NDT industry spans for over 30 years, with heavy emphasis in the Nuclear and Aerospace industries with positions ranging from Director of Operations to CEO of his own NDT firm.

His experience includes serving as Company Level III responsible for managing and supervising NDT technicians and the development of cutting-edge NDT procedures, NDT Research and Development and most importantly as being a Senior NDT instructor for ET, MFL, UT, MT, PT and VT methods.

With Tom’s expansive knowledge in all things NDT, he specializes in developing and implementing top tier training programs for Electromagnetic Testing (ET) including Eddy Current, Remote Field, Magnetic Flux Leakage and AC Field Measurement Testing. Tom has also invested a significant amount of time in the development and implementation of specialized advanced courses in signal analysis.

Tom holds an AAS degree in Nondestructive Testing from Ridgewater University and currently holds ASNT Level III certifications in Electromagnetic Testing (ET), Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual Testing (VT) as well as advanced certifications such as the EPRI Qualified Data Analysis (QDA), French EN-473-ET Analyst (CENE), SG Resolution QDA Level ET III Analyst (RESO) and the BOP Heat Exchanger Analyst (A).

Brent Moulton

Brent Moulton joined AINDT in March of 2020 and is our Multimedia Development Specialist. A former graduate of AINDT’s “Nondestructive Testing Technologies” certificate program, he made such a great impression on our CEO that when it was time for AINDT to staff up, Brent’s name was at the top of the list!

After graduation from AINDT, Brent spent time traveling the Midwest assisting in API653 tank inspections. After that he turned South to spend a little time in the warm Texas sun. Always looking to better himself Brent expanded his education by completing Level I & II Electromagnetic Testing and Level I Thermography classes. Brent then set his compass north to the great state of Alaska where he excelled in rope access UT piping inspections and Radiography.

Brent’s next chapter in the NDT world began when he received the call to join the AINDT family and take the time and dedication it takes to be a Multimedia Development Specialist.

Brent currently holds a Level I in IR, and Level IIs in VT, MT, PT, UT, & ET. He is also a Level I rope access technician with IRATA.

John Pariseau

John Pariseau is the current Director of Technical Operations at the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing as well as a Subject Matter Expert for the U.S. Department of Defense.

He began his career in welding in 1995 as a U.S. Marine in the occupational specialty of 1316 “Metal Worker” where he conducted 5th echelon fabrication & modifications for a vast variety of military components. After being honorably discharged John attended the College of Oceaneering for commercial diving, Nondestructive Testing and underwater welding. In 2001 he received his CWI from AWS and in 2007 his level III certification from ASNT.

His inspection experience has been incredibly diverse and spans multiple industries. He has been the lead inspector for several multi-million-dollar projects including the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis MN the U.S Consulate in Guangzhou China as well as several high-profile hydraulic structures for the Department of Defense.

During his time with the DoD he developed and instructed on various training courses for welding inspection, procedure development, metallurgy, NDT and industrial coatings.

With over 20 years of welding, NDT and inspection experience in the Bridge, Pressure Vessel, Military and Piping industries, John’s knowledge of welding and NDT makes him an expert in the welding industry.

John serves on the American Welding Societies’ Certification Committee and B1 Methods of Inspection Committee as well as the ASTM E07 Nondestructive Testing and E36 Accreditation & Certification committees and the ASNT Section Operations Council.

Jeff LeTourneau

Jeff LeTourneau is our Vice President of Operations where he found his passion helping students find their own careers and help professionals in the inspection business to further their education. Jeff oversees all departments and enjoys running the day-to-day operations.

Before starting with us, Jeff worked for the United States Air Force for 10 years as Non Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) and Safety Officer. While enlisted in the Air Force, he helped train and develop new recruits skills in sheet metal layout, fabrication and, welding. As his career developed he saw the importance in school and received his Construction Technology Degree, attended Airman Leadership School, and graduated from the NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) Academy. After Jeff’s years of service, He continued his dedication for education and training others with the skills necessary to succeed in their future careers here at the American Institute of Non Destructive Testing. He continues to help manage and stream line our online education and to give the students/businesses the best customer service.

In Jeff’s spare time he enjoys fishing and hunting. He loves the Minnesota weather and all things outdoors, where he can go camping with his wife and two sons.

Matthew Junkert

Matthew Junkert is the Senior NDT Instructor at the American Institute of Nondestructive Testing.

Matt’s NDT career has spanned a multitude of industries bringing AINDT a rich diversity of experience and knowledge. This real-world experience is paramount when molding students into the next generation of NDT technicians, ensuring they gain the knowledge needed to become the future industry experts in Nondestructive Testing.

When Matt first began his career at AINDT it became clear that he had a natural talent as both an instructor and leader, that combined with his impressive knowledge of the various NDT methods propelled him into his role as Senior Instructor. His uncanny ability to connect with students on a personal level ensuring they bring out their maximum potential solidifies AINDT’s status of the world’s premier NDT training facility.

Matt is an ASNT Level III, AWS CWI and has an AAS in Nondestructive Testing. Additionally, he serves as a committee member for the American Welding Society’s subcommittee on CWI endorsement programs.

Introduction to Destructive and Nondestructive Examination $199

Many of those involved in the welding industry will be exposed to destructive and nondestructive testing at some point in their career. Wouldn’t it be great if you understood what the technician is talking about? What does CVN mean? What is shearwave? Why can’t we do MT on aluminum? In this 6hr course we will discuss the basics of Destructive and Nondestructive Examination methods and how they are used in the construction industry.

Aside from the various methods we will discuss, we will also go over the common NDT certification schemes used in the United States. Over the years, the process to become a qualified NDT technician has become very complicated. We will cover certification schemes in a step-by-step method to ensure understanding. The Welding Inspection Fundamentals course is based on the knowledge needed for the Part A Fundamentals portion of the AWS CWI examination. We will discuss several topics paramount to become a well-rounded welding inspector. Within each Module will be several lessons discussing multiple topics such as Distortion Control, Destructive Testing, Defects and Discontinuities, Welding Procedure Specifications and Ultrasonic testing just to name a few. Incorporated into this training course will be multiple quizzes and flashcard reviews incorporated into each module to challenge the students’ knowledge. Finally, at the end of the training the students have the option to take a final exam which duplicates the CWI Part A final exam. This exam will include 150 multiple choice questions with a 2hr time limit. The final exam is for the students to gauge their knowledge of the material learned throughout the course; low scores will not affect the awarding of CEUs.
